The best crypto for gambling, compared
The coin you deposit with decides what you pay in network fees, how long you wait for your balance and whether its value moves while you play. Here is how nine common coins compare, and which of the nine casinos we cover accept each one.

What makes a coin good for gambling
There is no single best coin. The right one depends on what you deposit, how often, and what you plan to do with any balance you withdraw. Four things matter most:
- Network fee. What it costs to move the coin on its blockchain. Flat fees hurt small deposits most.
- Speed. How long until the casino credits your deposit, which depends on block times and how many confirmations the casino waits for.
- Volatility. Whether your balance holds its dollar value. A stablecoin stays close to $1; other coins can move several percent in a day.
- Casino support. Whether your casino accepts the coin and, for tokens like USDT, the network you plan to use.
The ranges below are typical on-chain figures. They change with network congestion and coin prices, and they do not include the withdrawal fee an exchange or casino may charge on top. Always check the live fee before you send.
The nine coins compared
| Coin | Typical network fee | Typical time to credit | Volatility | Casinos (of 9) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin (BTC) | About $0.30 to $3, can spike | 10 to 60 minutes | High | 9 |
| Ethereum (ETH) | About $0.05 to $1.50 | 1 to 5 minutes | High | 9 |
| Tether on TRON (USDT TRC20) | About $1 to $4 | 1 to 3 minutes | Very low (pegged) | 9 accept USDT |
| Tether on Ethereum (USDT ERC20) | About $0.20 to $3 | 1 to 5 minutes | Very low (pegged) | 9 accept USDT |
| USD Coin (USDC) | Cents on Solana, more on Ethereum | Seconds to 5 minutes | Very low (pegged) | Not on our lists |
| Litecoin (LTC) | Usually under $0.05 | 5 to 30 minutes | High | 7 |
| Solana (SOL) | Usually under $0.01 | Under a minute | Very high | 5 |
| Dogecoin (DOGE) | Usually under $0.20 | 5 to 20 minutes | Very high | 4 |
| TRON (TRX) | Often free to under $0.50 | 1 to 3 minutes | High | 3 |
| XRP | Usually under $0.01 | Under a minute | High | 1 |
"Time to credit" includes the casino's confirmation rule, which varies by site and can be longer for large amounts. Casino counts come from our coin lists for the nine casinos below, checked 16 September 2026; casinos often add or remove coins, and USDT networks differ by cashier.
Bitcoin (BTC)
Bitcoin is accepted at all nine casinos we cover and is the most widely recognised coin. It is also usually the most expensive and slowest to move. Blocks arrive about every ten minutes on average, but the gap varies, and casinos typically wait for one to three confirmations. When the network is busy, fees can rise sharply for a few hours or days.
Bitcoin makes the most sense for larger deposits where a flat fee is a small share of the total. For a $20 deposit, the fee can be a noticeable cut. Your balance also moves with the Bitcoin price while it sits in the casino.
Ethereum and tokens on Ethereum
Ether (ETH) transfers usually confirm within a minute or two, and casinos often credit within a few minutes. Fees are paid in ETH as "gas" and depend on network demand. Sending a token such as USDT or USDC on Ethereum uses more gas than sending plain ETH, so it costs more.
All nine casinos list ETH. If you deposit USDT or USDC on Ethereum, make sure the cashier offers the ERC20 network and that you have a little ETH in the wallet to pay gas.
Stablecoins: USDT and USDC
Tether (USDT) is the stablecoin you will see most often at crypto casinos, and it is on all nine of our lists. Its big advantage is that a $100 deposit stays close to $100, so you only win or lose through play, not through market swings. Pegged coins are not risk-free, since a stablecoin can briefly trade below $1 under stress, but day-to-day they are far steadier than other coins.
USDT runs on several networks. The two most common in casino cashiers are TRON (TRC20) and Ethereum (ERC20). TRON transfers are fast, and the fee is paid in TRX through a resource system called energy, so the cost depends on whether your wallet has energy available. Some cashiers also accept USDT on Solana or other chains.
USD Coin (USDC) works the same way but is not on our coin lists for any of the nine casinos, so check the cashier before buying it.
With any token, the network matters as much as the coin. USDT on TRON and USDT on Ethereum are the same asset on different rails, and sending on a network the casino does not support can lose the funds.
Litecoin and Solana
Litecoin (LTC)
Litecoin is a common low-fee choice. Fees are usually a few cents or less, blocks come about every two and a half minutes, and deposits typically credit within 5 to 30 minutes depending on the casino's confirmation rule. Seven of the nine casinos list it: Stake, Shuffle, Rainbet, Roobet, Gamdom, Coins.Game and Duel. BC.Game and Thrill do not, on our lists.
Its price can move like any other non-stable coin, so it suits players who deposit and play fairly soon after buying.
Solana (SOL)
Solana is fast and cheap, with fees usually well under a cent and transfers settling in seconds. It is listed at Stake, Shuffle, BC.Game, Duel and Thrill. The SOL price has historically been more volatile than Bitcoin's, so a SOL balance can swing noticeably during a session.
Dogecoin, TRON and XRP
Dogecoin (DOGE)
Dogecoin has low fees and one-minute blocks, though casinos may wait for several confirmations. It is accepted at Stake, Rainbet, Roobet and BC.Game. Its price is very volatile.
TRON (TRX)
Native TRX transfers can be free if your wallet has enough "bandwidth", and otherwise cost a small amount of TRX. It is listed at Stake, Gamdom and Coins.Game. Note that holding TRX is different from sending USDT on the TRON network.
XRP
XRP settles in a few seconds with fees well under a cent, but it is only listed at Stake among our nine. XRP deposits to a casino almost always need a destination tag (also called a memo); a deposit without it may not reach your account. The crypto wallets for gambling guide explains why.

Data from our casino coin lists, checked 16 September 2026. BC.Game also lists BNB. Casinos often support more coins than shown here, and lists change, so confirm in the cashier.
The fees on top of the network fee
The on-chain fee is only part of the cost of moving a coin. When you withdraw from an exchange, the exchange sets its own flat withdrawal fee for each coin and network, and this can be higher than the actual network fee. Some casinos also charge a withdrawal fee, or quote a fee that includes their own margin.
That means the cheapest network on paper is not always the cheapest route in practice. USDT on TRON, for example, has a modest on-chain cost, but an exchange might charge a flat amount for it that is larger than the fee for Litecoin or Solana. Check the withdrawal screen on your exchange, which shows the fee before you confirm, and compare two or three coins before you buy.
Price movement is a cost too. If you buy a volatile coin and it falls 3% before you deposit, that is a bigger loss than most network fees. For short stays between buying and depositing, a stablecoin or a fast coin limits that exposure.
How to choose
- Small, frequent deposits: a low-fee coin your casino accepts, such as LTC or SOL, or USDT on a cheap network.
- You want a steady balance: USDT, on the network your cashier supports.
- Larger, occasional deposits: BTC is fine if you accept slower confirmations and a higher fee.
- You only have one coin: check whether the casino accepts it before swapping, since a swap adds another fee.
Whatever you pick, buy it on a regulated exchange in your country (how to buy crypto for gambling) and follow how to deposit crypto at a casino for the casino side. If you are comparing offers too, our crypto casino bonus hub and rakeback calculator help you see what each signup code is worth.
Coin choice changes your costs at the edges. It does not change the house edge, and no coin makes gambling profitable. Set your budget in dollars, not coins, and stick to it.
FAQ
What is the cheapest crypto to deposit at a casino?
Coins on fast, low-fee networks such as Solana, XRP, Litecoin and TRON usually cost a few cents or less to send on-chain. Exchange withdrawal fees are separate and can be higher, so compare the full cost.
Is Bitcoin a good choice for gambling?
Bitcoin is accepted at every casino we cover, but it usually has higher network fees and slower confirmations than alternatives. It suits larger, less frequent deposits better than small ones.
Why use a stablecoin like USDT?
A stablecoin is pegged to the US dollar, so your balance does not rise or fall with the crypto market while you play. You still need to pick the right network, such as TRON or Ethereum, when sending it.
Are the fees and times in this guide fixed?
No. Network fees and confirmation times change with network load and coin prices, and each casino sets its own confirmation rules. Treat the figures as typical ranges, not guarantees.
